Belachew Kumsa

As the Director of Data Science and Analytics, Belachew Kumsa is responsible for shaping the strategic vision of the organization's data initiatives. He guides a diverse team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers to unlock the full potential of data, driving innovation, optimizing operations, and fostering growth.  Additionally, Belachew is Onyx’s Sr. Technical Program manager at the Department of the Treasury Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). 

He is PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) with a proven expertise of (PMBoK), SDLC, Agile development methodology. During the course of his over 20 year career, he has held positions in both the Federal Government and Private sectors leading projects in financial, pharmaceutical, insurance, retail, and health-IT verticals. He is a seasoned technical leader who brings his experience and expertise in Information Technologies, Advanced Analytics, Data Governance, Modern Management (Leadership). Belachew’s strong drive for success, bolstered by his analytical mind and professional agility, will propel Onyx forward.
