Government agencies must ensure that their digital content and software are usable by all citizens, including those with disabilities. Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act plays a crucial role in achieving this goal. It requires that all federal agencies develop, procure, maintain, and use electronic and information technology (EIT) that is accessible to people with disabilities.
